Stable, Reliable, Long Endurance & Low-Noise Operation

Project Background

Customer: Shenzhen Sanitation & Cleaning Equipment Manufacturer Equipment: Ride-on scrubbers, autonomous campus sweeping robots, sanitation sweepers Application: Floor cleaning for shopping malls, high-speed rail stations, hospitals, office buildings, underground parking lots and other public areas. These battery-powered machines run continuously in dusty, humid and bumpy environments, controlling side brush lifting, squeegee lifting, roller brush lifting and steering follow-up axes.

Customer Challenges

  1. Original drivers suffered obvious low-speed jitter and loud noise during night shifts, triggering complaints. Position loss often occurred with changing loads, making squeegees unstable, leaking water and leaving poor sewage recovery.
  2. High heat generation and power consumption shortened runtime per charge and affected cleaning schedules.
  3. Heavy mist, dust and vibration caused frequent driver failures and high after-sales costs.
  4. Cumbersome multi-axis tuning slowed down new product development and revision cycles.

Our Solution

We supplied our LCDA86G-2A 1-drive-2 closed-loop stepper driver. It supports two modes: independent 2-axis control and 2-axis synchronous pulse control. Matched with stepper motors and gearboxes, one single driver synchronously controls two motors for brush disc, squeegee and side brush lifting structures.

  • Wide 24/48V lithium battery input, compatible with cleaning machine power systems
  • Dynamic current regulation: lower current at light loads to reduce heat and power loss
  • Closed-loop position feedback: smooth start/stop, jitter-free low-speed running and precise positioning for ground-adaptive squeegee/brush height
  • Low-noise algorithm for quiet operation in public areas
  • Built-in overvoltage, undervoltage, stall and overtemperature protection; good vibration and dust resistance
  • Pulse control, plug-and-play with existing main controllers for fast commissioning

Outcomes

  1. Lifting mechanisms maintain stable positioning. Squeegees fit the ground evenly, boosting sewage recovery and eliminating load-related position loss.
  2. Driver power consumption down by 10%, machine runtime up by 15%, for larger daily cleaning coverage.
  3. Lower operating noise, meeting silent cleaning requirements for hospitals, libraries and nighttime work.
  4. Long-running harsh-environment tests show significantly reduced failure rates and less maintenance.
  5. High compatibility: one driver fits multiple scrubber/sweeper models, simplifying inventory and cutting new-machine tuning time.

Customer Testimonial

“This driver runs smoothly at low speed with great stability. It is durable in humid, dusty cleaning conditions and easy to set up. It helps us improve our machine competitiveness.”
